Since 1948 young women leaders between the Ages of 19 and 24 have been chosen to represent their state or Territory during the Cherry BLossom festival held each spring in washington, DC.

MARGARET O'MEARA
Margaret O'Meara is a native of Alexandria, Virginia and is currently a junior at Virginia Tech University majoring in Communications Studies with a minor in Art History. She is an active student leader both on and off campus and is also a recognized scholar as a two-time recipient of The Steve and Renie Guback Communications Scholarship, a member of the Dean's List, and the 2016 winner of The J. Brooke Rand Up-and-Coming Leader Award from the Virginia Tech Union (VTU).
